For taking engineering admission in NUST campuses, all the students must pass the NUST NET 1, NET 2, or NET 3. NUST Entry Test is primarily based on FA / FSc level studies (Part-1 & Part-II) and questions are in the form of MCQs with four answer options each. The paper of English is on the pattern of SAT exam. The test also includes the Intelligence part. A sample paper can be seen on the NUST website. Textbooks are consulted while developing the question bank. Grasping the concepts available in different textbooks will be beneficial.

SUBJECTS INCLUDED IN NET WITH WEIGHTINGS

Engineering Entry Test: Mathematics 40% Physics 30% Chemistry 15% English 10% Intelligence 5% Notes: Candidates seeking admission in Engineering can also opt for admission in BS Mathematics, BS Physics, and BS Chemistry programs without an additional registration fee. Such candidates are not required to take a separate test. However, this option does not apply to DAE candidates. Merit position for BS Mathematics will be calculated based on the score in Mathematics, English, and Intelligence. Merit position for BS Physics will be calculated based on the score in Physics, Mathematics, English, and Intelligence. Merit position for BS Chemistry will be calculated based on the score in Chemistry, English, and Intelligence.

NUST Paper Based Test 2024:

The Paper-based entry test is conducted in Karachi and Quetta.

NUST Computer Based Test 2024:

• In NET-3, candidates could appear either in the Paper Based Test at Karachi & Quetta or Computer Based Test at Islamabad.
• In the Computer-based Entry Test, candidates can select the date and session of the test according to their choice. It depends on the availability of space.

• BS Computer Science: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, English & Intelligence
• Applied Biosciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Intelligence.
• Computer Science for Engineering: Quantitative (Basic Maths), Physics, Chemistry, English, Intelligence.
• Business Studies/Social Sciences: English, Quantitative (Basic Mathematics) & Intelligence
• BS Mathematics: Mathematics, English & Intelligence
• BS Physics: Physics, Mathematics, English & Intelligence
• BS Chemistry: Chemistry, English, Intelligence
• Bachelor in Architecture/Bachelor of Industrial Design: Mathematics, Physics, English, Intelligence.
