Allama Iqbal Medical College is a Public medical college, which was established in May 1975. It is located in Lahore Punjab Pakistan and affiliated with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council PMDC. It is also recognized by the Higher Education commission HEC. This college was established in 1975 and named as Lahore Medical College. After two years of its establishment, the name of this college was changed to the Allama Iqbal Medical College due to the century celebration of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.  First this college was affiliated with Services Hospital but later Jinnah Hospital was established as dedicated training hospital for AIMC. AIMC offers different medical courses like MBBS, BDS and many others for those students who apply for the admission. Admission is provided through strict merit formula based on the marks obtain in matriculation, intermediate and entry test. For admission, an entry test MCAT, is compulsory to pass, which is organized by the University of Health Sciences. All intermediate students who want to take admission can apply for the admission in this medical institute only if they meet with the requirements. Allama Iqbal Medical College Eligibility Criteria:

• It is compulsory for students to pass exams with 60% or above marks otherwise they will come consider eligible
• An entry test(MCAT) is compulsory to pass for students who are looking for the admission
• Students having international degree like o/A level must bring equivalent certificate issued by the IBCC Islamabad
• Admission will be given according to the merit basis based on marks obtain in matriculation, intermediate and entry test
• Students have to face interview, organized by the AIMC

Allama Iqbal Medical College opens two time admission every year, once in fall and second in spring. Admissions are announced by advertisement in newspaper every year. It is advised to students to apply before last date for the admission if they want to take admission. Admissions are limited and will be provided on strict merit base.
