Eligibility criteria for ECAT Test in Pakistan is not so tough but at the same time it is not so easy so that you can take it for granted. The ECAT is the initial stage for the admission in the bachelor program regarding the engineering field in Pakistan. So it is more than compulsory for the students to clear this test because the ultimate merit list which is being declare is on the basis of both the ECAT result as well as the score in the intermediate by the student. There are several ways through which the students can be eligible for the ECAT test but the major path is through the intermediate. Basically the students which appear in the ECAT test must have cleared the intermediate and should have scored 60% and above in all the subjects. The students who have cleared their BSC, B.Tech, DAE and even any equivalent examination or qualification to this make the student eligible for appearing in the ECAT test in Pakistan. The students who have passed their intermediate and are applying for the ECAT test must take few things under considerations, the basic part amongst which is the subjects, which they have opted for in their intermediate.

The students should make sure that if they are willing to apply for ECAT than they must have appeared in the following subjects in their intermediate.

The first combination of the subjects is that the students must have cleared Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with 60% or more marks because it is the initial requirement for appearing in to the ECAT test, this is that the student should have appeared in the FSC pre-engineering before applying in the ECAT test.

The other set of subjects includes the Physics, Mathematics, English and Computer Science, which must be the part of the intermediate for the students; the student should have appeared in ICS, which will make him or her eligible for the ECAT examination.

The final set of subjects, which are considered essential to be cleared before appearing into the ECAT test, is Physics, Mathematics, English and Statistics, which is the ICOM program for the students in Pakistan.

Above all, those students who have done A-levels with majors of Engineering subjects and they also have obtained aggregates marks equivalence to 60%.

So these are the proper defined paths that make the student eligible to get appeared in the ECAT test in Pakistan and before meeting these requirements the respective candidate is not considered as eligible for the test.
