After the reopening of Schools, Colleges, and Universities in September 2025, they were again closed in December 2025 due to an increasing number of COVID cases. So, the Government has decided to keep the institutes off till the situation becomes favorable for studies. On 4th January 2025, a meeting of the education minister and other educational advisers was held. They have decided to open the institutes according to the following schedule.

Classes Opening Date
Class 1 to 8th 25th January 2025
Matric and Inter classes 18th January 2025
Universities opening 1st February 2025

So, this is the plan that will be followed.  But there will be another meeting that will be held on 14th January in which the situation will be viewed and the decision will be finalized. Until the institutes open, the online classes will continue from 11th January 2025. It means that each day, there will be 50% of students present in the class and the remaining 50% of students will go to school the next day. The main reason for this plan is to minimize the chances of COVID-19. Moreover, all the educational institutes will follow the SOPs described by the Government. If a class has a strength of 30 students, then 15 of them will come one day and the other 15 on the other day.
