Masters Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate must be a permanent citizen Pakistan holding CNIC nationality and Domicile
• Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2023
• By October 2023, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
• The Commonwealth scholarship students would not normally fund a second UK Master’s degree. If you are applying for a second UK Master’s degree, you will need to provide justification as to why you wish to undertake this study Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship

PhD Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Pakistan
• Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2023
• By October 2023, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)
• NOT be registered for a Ph.D., or an MPhil leading to a PhD, at a UK university before September/October 2023
• NOT have commenced and been currently registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, in your home country or elsewhere
• Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship

Application Procedure:

• Fill in the online application form and select HEC as your nominating agency and get 3 printouts of your forms using electronic application system EAS (application form other than EAS will not be entertained)
• Attach 3 sets of attested photocopies of the required documents

Proof of citizenship or refugee status – uploaded to the online application system

Full transcripts detailing all your higher education qualifications (with certified translations if not in English) – uploaded to the online application system

References from at least two individuals – submitted directly by the referees to the online application system (referees will be sent an email request)

• After this HEC will analyze each application form and will call to the eligible candidate for interview and then a shortlist will be prepared for suitable candidates and all the shortlisted candies have to take IELTS academic test and further nominated to commonwealth UK for further processing.
• No candidate can apply directly to the Commonwealth as he or she has to apply through HEC as a nominating agency.
