Punjab University Lahore
University of the Punjab or Punjab university PU is one of the top higher educational institute working in Punjab. It is a public university which was established in 1882 by the British government. This university has many campuses in Lahore, Gujranwala, Jhelum, and Khanspur and has many constituent colleges too. This is the fourth university established by the British government in sub-continent. According to Higher education commission HEC ranking, it is the largest institute of Pakistan. The University of Punjab Lahore is also the member of Association of Commonwealth Universities of United Kingdom. Punjab University Admission Criteria:
This university announces admissions through advertisement in the newspaper and through their site. All students who pass their previous studies with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply. Students can take admission on merit basis by passing the entry test exam of PU. Eligible students can take their prospectus from the University of Punjab and can submit along with all the mention documents on the prospectus. After this student will call for the entry test exam and final selections will be after the sum up of previous studies and entry test result.

There are 28 hostels in Punjab University Lahore in which 17 for male and 11 for female. PU is currently working to meet the growing needs of accommodation of female residents.
